I have a Whistler. It's hidden pretty good and it hasn't really worked for me. I have never heard it go off

How is it safer to speed on a highway than in town? At speed you are far more likely to kill yourself or someone else, you have far less chance to avoid a collision with a moose for example. It is unsafe to speed wherever you are, to think it is safer on the highway than it is in the city is absurd. Does the drunk driver not drive on a highway or just in the city?

A laser needs a reflective surface to get a accurate reading. True the license plate and headlights are the best reflective surface, but unless you are driving the stealth bomber or similar, you are one big moving target and the reading can come from the sheetmetal, a grill, the window even.

I agree with you on that...Speeding on lonely roads or highways where you can hit a moose or a deer is not a good idea. However, I dont think there're any moose that'll chance moseying across 16 lanes of traffic on the 401. I did however see a video of a herd of cows loose on the 401 @ the 400 but those cows were being transported not grazing on the embankment...lol...
You should have seen the cops chasing these cows and wrestling them...

Actually it is safer to speed on the highway because velocity differential is not that great between any two vehicles. 20 maybe 30 km/h whereas on city streets if youre doing 55 or 60 km/h velocity differential is greater especially with the chance of hitting stationary objects or pedestrians...or a moose
Thats why I always OBEY the speed limit on city streets...

People are killed on 400-series highways almost daily with speed being the main contributing factor.
