If you have different sized rims/tires in the back/front, you should follow the directions in your owner's manual ...

Anyways, for most front drive vehicles, I believe it's rotate every 6 months or 10,000 kms and follow the pattern below ...

Front driver to rear passenger
Front passenger to rear driver
Rear driver to front driver
Rear passenger to front passenger

I forget what it is for a rear drive vehicle, which makes me feel really stupid because I own one ...

make sure your tires arent directional though. if they are then the tires on the passenger side have to stay on the passenger side and same with the tires on the drivers side. by directional i mean that the tires were made to rotate in only one direction. as long as the tires arent directional
first rotation:
FD<--->RP FP<--->RD
Second rotation
FD<--->RD FP<--->RP
and then you go back to the first rotation and repeat for as long as you have your tires.
i was told every second oil change.

I only rotate my tires on the Escort when the drive 1's are bald. I allways put the new 1's on the back. Oh I do use an pair of snow tires so balder tires never been a problem. I used to get an year out of an pair of drive tires. Looks like I have the same problem as Dukk. LOL Now that I've calm down I'm getting 5 years out of an pair. Hey Hardcore if you need an jack I may be able to help. P.M. me if you like.

just becarefull where you put the blocks dont want to hear about a guy getting smashed by his car.
you have to rotate the tires i left mine a little late on the cav and one day driving home from work the back tire exploded from just were it sucked. it took me almost 30min to get to the spare tire and jack in the car and then trying to change the tire in the middle of winter at night just added to the fun. so when you rotate them make sure to check the tread of any unual wear and that the tread depth is still good.

Yeah, you wanna make sure you place them in the right place of course, that would be owners's judgement.
