I'm the guy doing the documentary for CBC. Just to put everyone's mind at ease: this will not be a condemnation of people who like their music loud. There are a few points that I hope to answer with the doc:

1. what kind of people amass these huge audio systems? ie.) just males? just the youth? are they thugs or people who like to curl up with a nice book? So far I have gathered that it is a wide variety of people interested in this past-time/sport and I want to run with that idea.

2. Is this spost becoming more popular/mainstream and why?

3. What drives people to build such huge and often expensive systems?

These are a few ideas that I am working with right now. I just got an email saying I should talk to Donald Hebig here in Saskatoon. It seems like a good start. But if anyone out there has any ideas for me or questions I should ask or subjects I should cover or people I should talk to, my email address is posted.

I suggest you get a hold of both underdog (terry) (talberts@hotmail.com ) and Dukk (paul) (dukk@hotmail.com ) also as they have been in this industry for many years and I'm sure could offer some insite on the sound quality site of this sport also (don #1 at spl but IMO does not seem to be too interested in the SQ side of things)

I know Dukk is way outside your area but maybe a telphone interview could be arranged ........ he knows a lot cause he's old and crusty ........ and lets not forget he's also a false audio god [img]smile.gif[/img]

I definately also feel that the SQ side of things need to be shown. Lets remember that most of us are in this for the music [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
