Saw a new Chrysler 300 today...mmm
Saw one at the 24 hour grocery this morning on my way home from work.
I checked it out a little, some achingly hot MLF with an official Tom Fitzgerald jersey on was driving it, she was in the store chatting to the Tim Horton's girls. Fitzgerald lives right around the corner, apparently, so possibly his wife or something?? (who else would have his 'real' jersey?)
The car is nice, not as HUGE as I thought, but the same size as a Mercedes 500-class or the Cadillac full size. This one was gun-metal grey-ish, straight out of the car show pics, really.
The interior is plain, but 'stately', like the rest of the car, the guage and instrument panels go down the middle, like most of the new 'luxury' sedans. Nothing really poignant inside, again, just leather, burlwood and hints of brushed aluminum/chrome accents.
Overall, seeing it in person, I would say Chrysler has a definite winner on their hands again, its low key, but really 'elegant', in a brutish sort of way, the same way that the bigger caddies, benz's, BMW's, etc are elegant.

From simply a styling standpoint, that car is the nicest thing to come out of Detroit in a while. It looks to me like it was inspired by Bently which is a pretty good place to get inspriation. Add RWD and a real selection of powertrains and it has got my vote. And I guess Chrysler is moving a lot of them because it seems there are several truckloads of them going right by where I work everyday.
