Rogers owns them yes, but the dome was owned by this Chicago group .. but now roger owns it all.

 

they bought everything but the hotel..but if i remember correctly Steve Stavros and someone else bought the hotel..

the dome will be getting some upgades. A new screen is 1 of them and I think the roof is getting something done to it

Yeah, I had the world series on tape when I lived back home what a feeling it was actually watching the game and see Carter hit that homer in the last inning damn that was great!

 

Some of the preliminary heresay is that they will install Fieldturf. It is one of the new synthetic turfs. It was introduced in Tampa Bay and it has had a favourable reception. They intend to upgrade the Jumbotron. It was $15MM when it was first put in but apparently costs have come done while quality went up so that will be a bonus. Rogers is considering renaming the Skydome. Speculation is it will be called Rogers Skydome. The hotel was sold off. Rogers will not be assuming any of the debt but they will be allow Sportsco to get out of the 10 year lease of luxury boxes. This is something like $36MM. They want to do a variety of modifications to areas like the bullpen (make it more visible), remove the concrete feel and potentially add a new luxury area that is common in newer stadiums.
