soldering wire question

i wanted to know if your general soldering wire is good to take high amperage ? i am just thinkin about sprucing up some connections on my starter and wonderd if it'd just melt or not.

Yes, it should be fine. Just, you may want to go with a thicker strand so that you arn't sitting threre for an hour putting on 15 feet of solder.

Oh, also, use a really big tip on your soldering iron/gun (gun would be better for this )
