3 things
(1) Isn't the HURST shifter designed for an automatic transmission - My friend has a '69 stang with a 3 speed auto and a hurst shifter. I still think that it would make shifting less fluid.
(2) It is on sideways.
(3) It's a civic.

(1) no
(2) that's ok it goes well with the Tweety Bird theme(you know there must be something wrong with the person anyway)
(3)Yea well, we all make mistakes.
Actually the original Hurst shifter was a round ball thing that looked like it came off a 1930's International farm tractor....it was and still is very popular in muscle cars and stock cars believe it or not.....In fact, if I'm not mistaken it was probably first used in Nascar.

On a lot of Muscle Cars with 4speeds the shifter is about the height of your knee so you reach down to grab and shift it. This winds up feeling very natural with a T handle.
The Civic has it turned about 10:00 and 4:00 which is a little goofy but hey wahtever feels natural right?
And it was actually really hard to find a T handle for a console shift auto because they had to have the side button. They are available now though.
