Angry sooo pissed

So, here's a weird one for you. I was at work last night. There were two of us gas attendants outside, and our supervisor was running cash. My supervisor says, hey Renee, do you want some cash experience right now? I say sure, it's only for 5 minutes while he goes to get change from the main store....
So, Ryan left the store and literally 30 seconds later this man walks in.
"Hey sweetheart"
"Hi"
"I've got some bad news for you"
"Oh, Really, what's that?"
"I'm robbing you" and he puts a note on the counter.
"Oh yeah" was all I could say. SO I pick up the note and read it. It says stuff about being robbed and put the bills into the bag etc.
SO, I looked him right in the eye and said "well, sucks to be you because my supervisor just left and I can't open the tills unless you feel like buying something"
He looked kind of shocked and says "I have a knife and a gun. Do as I say. Put the bills into the bag and no one will get hurt, I'm sorry but I'm really desperate." At this point he pulls his knife out.
I look at the knife then back into his eyes and was suddenly REALLY, REALLY angry and I said, "yeah, well, I'm not going squat AND we now have you on camera" and I pointed to the camera. HE says "oh sh#t and runs out the door"
I kind of stood there in shock for a few seconds then I became enraged thinking that this **** just tried to rob me!! I jumped over the counter and ran out after him. Then as I was outside and didn't see him, I said, well, that was stupid, maybe I should go back inside, guard the till and call the police. And then my supervisor walked back in and all hell broke loose. We had to shut down for the night while the cops did their stuff.

Talking

wow,
I would stick to not being behind the cash register.
It might have been easier for the guy to just pump
some gas and take off. That would have been worth it more
so than robbing the till.
Good thing you are ok. Sounds like you have some kahonas talking
like that.
Remember life's too short,,, be careful buddy.

Any chance that the "supervisor" knew this was going to happen? To me it seems kinda odd that he left at just that exact time and came back at the same exact time. Mind you maybe I am just suspicious as well.

On one hand it was good to see you take a stand, on the other, we would not want to hear that you made a unfortunate trip to the hospital. This guy did pull a knife on you, would you do the same thing again?

I know what

I did was really stupid. See, this is what Bob has to put up with. I felt threatened and I was ready to kill. But yeah, the knife wasn't any worry to me at all. Now, if he did pull out a gun, things would have been different. I used to be a bouncer at Glenn's Cafe and Memories (and yes, I'm a girl, most of you have met me, I'm GrizZz/Bob's wife) so you know I'm not some little skinny thing... I think it was because I was really looking into his eyes and staring him down and I could see that he was scared... dunno, probably would have done things differently. But of course, this is all in retrospect, right?

Smart that you knew you did something stupid and acknowledged it.
Dumb that you were not threatened by a knife. If you saw what a knife can quickly do to the human body you would change your mind.

Good to hear you're safe.

(GrizZz here, wife's PC)

Well she's off at work again. Nothin' like climbing right back on that horse after it bucked you off...

No, the fact that the Supe had just walked off was pure coincidence. Apparantly, dude robbed six other stations before hitting Rae's. And then after he ran off from Rae's, he ran into the grocery store and robbed Customer Service. Then someone gave chase in the parking lot and he dropped his bag.

Dunno if they got him yet or not, we'll watch the paper though...

Crazy week for us... First found out I need to prepare for competition on Sunday (work's going fine, I'll be ready), then we all went to Edmonton for Easter. Stopped at the cabin on the way and saw that someone had broke into and vandalized my camper. Nothing major that an hour or two won't clean up... Worst thing was they smashed my 9in. B&W TV outside, so I'll have to shovel up some glass/sand. A pisser nonetheless. Next we won this trip to Banff this coming weekend, so gotta organise for that. Work's uber-busy so far this week, and then this happens to Rae last night... What next??! She/we are pretty stressed out, this trip to Banff will be greatly welcomed...
