The Star - NHL Lockout
Ok since i'm incredibly bored and u know im bored when i start reading www.thestar.ca for 'news'
So first off I see an article about a driver that went through a guardrail and landed on the passeneger side of the vehicle int he middle of the 401 (think it was Don Mills). He survived that and no other traffic hit the vehicle. Found that pretty amazing.
So next I move onto sports cause I couldn't find any other interesting headlines. And I see "We're sick of it already", click it and read this article on the NHL lockout, like there isn't enough as it is. Some of its kind of sexist but whatever anyway I'm reading and I get to...
"As part of the campaign, Molson has opened a toll-free line (1-866-MISS-HKY) for disgruntled fans. It offers survival advice such as stuffing a bag with dirty laundry and then sniffing it a week later to conjure up hockey memories."
I found that pretty funny... However if you wanna read the article The Star - Article can be found there.
Also it states something about affecting Beer Sales, I would definately think its gonna take a toll on beer sales this year. A lot of ppl who buy beer buy it to drink while watching a hockey game. Beer sales and sales in a sports bar like Boston Pizza.. In Ontario Boston Pizza is highly Toronto - Ottawa fan related depending on the area your in, I found it one of the busiest bars when there is a Leaf game or Ottawa game on again depending on the city for that.
Just my 2 cents for this hour.
