yeah me and my one friend used to do that all the time when we made a trip out to the city ...... we'd cruise the lots the night before to see what was interesting, then we'd go in and say one of us was looking to trade in our vehicle and were interested in xxxx ........talk a bit then they'd toss us the keys and away we go .........
always found funny they'd toss me the keys to a 60,000 dollar truck and say have fun, but ask to take a mustang or trans am out and they had to come
I still remeber when the new vortech v8's came out in the chev trucks we went to the chev dealer and asked for a 350 5sp truck, we smoked the tires right down to the cord on that puppy.
brought it back with the rear lower quartes covered in black rubber and as it was sitting cooling down making those little noises a hot macjine makes the salesman came out looked at the truck and with a funny grin on his face said so did it do what you want ....we said oh yeah :0
then we told him we still had to go check out a dodge and a ford and got his card .then we went and did the same with a v10 5spd dodge, the ford dealer had no standard so we took the ford ripping though a muddy field and took it back covered in mud
used to be fun, then the salesmen started to remember us after a while [img]smile.gif[/img]

When the salesguy came along whenever I took a car out, I was never ballsy enough to do what they did lol Nice. But when they weren't with me and I had something with enough ***** to lay some rubber down......oh yeah 
Only once did I have a 'cool' salesguy, and it happened to be in the fastest ride I've ever test drove: 99 Ram Air T/A 6 spd. Future wife and I took it out and salesguy in the back seat. We turn onto a straight side road and he says "Let 'er rip. See what it'll do." SWEET! I'm in 1st gear, pull around a car that was turning left and then punched it. YEEHAW! Man could that car boogey! The rear squatted, the front lifted and it damn near felt like the front tires were gonna lift off. Future wife grabs the armrest with both hands in sheer terror, bang the 1-2 shift, rear end gets a bit squirrley and I take it to about 5000 rpm and lift off. Salesguy had a big grin on his face.
No damn way I could afford a $45k car though so we kindly returned the keys and left. [img]tongue.gif[/img] Me with a HUGE grin on my face and the future wife still in shock. Although I had a 99 Dakota R/T at the time, boy did it sure feel slow afterward.

i have only test driven one car in my hole life. a 2003 sunfire. never really got to do anything with it because its the only chev dealership in town and i go thier alot(so they know me). and also i had my mom and a sales guy in the car. mom's like slow down your taking the corners to fast, while the sales guy just sits thier and lets me drive. but i only had my learners when i did this so i couldn't have gotten to far with out an person with a drivers.

1) twin turbo dodge stealth
2)Viper
3)Subaru wrx (not the STI)
funnest one would probobly be the stealth. I knew the salesman so he actually let me take each of these cars out for 1 day...(AND I WAS ONLY 16!)

hahahaahahahaha thats awesome lol Kind of reminds me of my brother in law who used to work for Lexus but he wasn't a retard like that salesman lol Plus he himself was one of the guys that got to take the cars home and drive the crap right out of it lol You know TEST it and get the FEEL for the car

my dad drives an auto carrier and always hauls new cars between here a bc i drive/bag everynew car when i help him. the best was an bran new corvett druing winter [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] those things do amazing doughnuts. the 4x4 trucks are a good time to

Reminds me of the one time I took this beater Celica for a drive....across the lot...
It was close to closing time and dude was too lazy to get a plate so he asked if I wanted to just take it around the lot...OK....
I dont think anyone has ever made 2nd gear in a used car lot before...LOL....Jam across the lot,turn over around the new cars,and jam back again...Salesmen hanging on for dear life asking me if it was really nessecary for me to do that....I looked him straight in the eye and went "YEP!"....
For those in Winnipeg,its a small Toyota dealer on Regent kinda kiddy corner to Park Pontiac(wicked..LOL)...You'll see what I mean....remember...second gear.....
