Thursday night drink specials in Edmonton
Morning ladies 'n gentlemen.
I've been asked or organize a small gathering this coming thursday. Maybe 15-20 people mostly 25ish-30ish at one of the pubs on/near whyte ave. Previously we've generally done the Billiard Club, and it's great there - I love the couches and pool tables. Problem being it's rather pricey...dropping give or take a grand there for each one of these parties we have...it'd be nice to have some drink specials, thus we're lookin for a new location.
Anyone got any ideas?? I'd prefer more of a pub type place then a bar. Patio is not necessary, but definitely woulnd't hurt. I'm kinda lookin into squires, though I haven't been there in a long time. Likewise Hudson's might not be toooo bad, but it's fairly kinda tableish....not like the billiard club where eventhough you have nice comfy couches, you can easily mingle about.

That has crossed my mind...Power Hour there...or the union has 25 or 50 cent high ***** for an hour....but. Overall we'll be lookin for somewhere else to chill even if we were to get smashed quickly at the purple onion (it's closer to everything else).

The Globe
Back when i used to live in E-town, thursday nights were best spent downtown at The Globe. Sorry if this doesn't work for you being that it isn't on Whyte, but it is an awesome pub, with a huge selection of beer, all being half price on Thursday. Along with half price appies, how can you go wrong? I believe big rock pints were 2.50 too.
