Keep it coming....I will be putting it through its paces and like hearing your doubts/suspicions.

The big differece between this and an Aura bass shaker is this is ready to go, where as a bass shaker you have to mount to your chair.

I know, I know not a big deal for the folks around here...but those lazy *** rich people like stuff handed to them ready to go.

Am I missing something?

From the picture it looks like the box is almost 14" high and maybe 6"-8" deep.

You stick THAT between your cushions?

Or is it the round cylinder thing? Which also seems too large to stick between cushions and not have it stick out like crazy.

Well the drum arrived on Friday.

Hooked it up and watched a couple of movies.\

1) It is unobtrusive enough that I do not notice it in my big comfy couch.

2) It works like a hot damm!

Watched Donnie Darko for the first time, and wholly man did this add a new creepy dimension to the film. Things all dark and eire and then wham the couch is alive!

I will post more thoughts when i get back from Edmonton and have a chance to really givr.

No word on M$RP yet though.

Im sure your wife loves that thing. Instead of loud bass, she gets a vibrating couch. Good deal, for the women!

Yeah... I'm not sure I'm a big fan of that idea.

Who needs a bit vibrating cap in their couch?

Excuse my ignorance . . how does the thing work?
Normal speakers have a piston and cone which is activated by electrical current. How does this thing work? Is it essentially just the piston and the movement of the piston which causes vibrations/bass? So does that mean you don't hear the bas, you just feel it, even 150hz?

^^basiclly

Well the trial period is over and I must send it back.

Review to be online soon.

Summary:
Movies A+++++
Music C-

It was very easy to hide the unit inside my large enveloping couch. No worrys there.

With music it had the unfortunate ability to pull the soundstage forward and at times really messing up the imaging. Sure some *****-to-the-wall rock out jams worked (System of a Down for one) other more detailed music just fell apert (Jesse Cook).

With movies it added a new much needed (and previously unnoticed)dimension to the movie. Obviously overdone action packed explosofests were much enhansed by the couch-o vibrato (as it has now been named).
The big surprise was with suspenseful flicks. The feeling of suspense and tension was noticbly improved.
And don't forget the sappy chick flicks!
Ok so I didn't review the unit with those movies.

Value is hard to determine without having other products to review. At a cost of $1000cdn ($500 for drum and $500 for amp) it does seem pricy.

Hopefully I will get my hands on some other brands so I can compare value to performance.

Conclusion
My home theater feels naked and incomplete without it. And I feel like less of a man because of it.
