Trade my Sunfire for a Silverado, your thoughts?

I might trade my sunfire for a 97 1500 regular cab short box silverado. 170,000kms..ish.
Its got a larger rad, new alternator, grille, tail lights, jvc deck, 2 rockford 10's, two amps, regular maintance, 18" boss rims, new brake lines, fuel pump.. well its pretty much been overhauled.. new paint last year.. its RWD, manual. Only thing is, it needs a passenger side door. the window doesn't shut cause he put it in a ditch.
My sunfire, is a sedan. has a 2.2L 2200SFI. 4 speed auto , its four door, kenwood deck, scoshe wiring, scoshe cap, pioneer nickel series 12s,stock front speakers, dual brand 3 way 6x9's in the back..has a 2" glasspack, 3.75" tip, homemade 3" intake... 96770kms on it.
What you guys think, is it worth it?

IMO, trade asap.

You dont even say what year your car is. But those mods all sound horrible to me personally. Well, specifically these ones "has a 2" glasspack, 3.75" tip".

his trucks rims are probobly almost worth your car if its around year 2000.

Since its a 97, one would hope for the 5.7 vortec.

He didn't say. I forgot, my sunfire is a 2000.
Don't worry, it doesn't sound like a rice burner, well not to me.

O ya, have not updated that....I have had 2 more Daytonas since the 89....and a shelby charger....and now a shelby turbo omni.

I know basically everything there is to know about the old turbododge cars. If you have questions ask away, ive done it all.

Daytonas are the coolest, but they are ****ing heavy....around 3150lbs...where as my turbo omni is 2200lbs....

Silverado.

Ya not a good deal. You can often find good running 89 or so turbododge cars for 1k-1.5k....
And head gasket would be iffy for that problem. The heads are notorious for cracking between the valves and sometimes crack all the way to the water jacket causing burning antifreeze. Meh.

There is even a western canada specific forum for these cars lol, filled with cheap bastards (I be 1 of them).

Find out if its the 5.7 vortec.....if it is....it should be a no brainer, i your mechanically inclined enough to do it.

Where are you at in Alberta? I am just south of Edmonton in Devon.
