doesn't it work if you just flash your head lights when the light is red?

Cool

the traffic light must have the infared receiver, other than that, trafic lights are operated by a pavement sensor(metal detector)flashing your headlights DOES NOT,and will never WORK.

emergency vehicals use strobe lights to change them, why wouldn't flicking the high beams on not work?

oh and as far as things that look stupid, here are a few things that I don't like to see:

spoilers on fwd vehicals, body skirts, steal me stickers, fart pipes, rainbow tint, halogen headlights, aftermarket techs, agressive drivers,

Strobe lights are different than halogen high beams, aren't they?
Strobes radiate IR light sufficient to trigger the sensor maybe?
As an FYI, if it's an IR only light, you DON'T see the light flash! People can't see infrared under normal conditions!

Cool

the strobes don't change the lights, emergency vehicles actually have a small infared device just like the one being sold.it works just like the remote control for your t.v. or h/u,have you tried to change the channel on your t.v. with a flashlight or strobe light,i believe it to be quite impossible .again the traffic light MUST HAVE the receiver to work, here in calgary thats a very small amount.
