unplugging a toilet?

So....our one toilet, mysteriously plugged, bro noticed water on the floor the other day, i went to clena up something and throw it in the toilet flush and it didn't evne attempt to go down flowed over a tad before i could shut the water off.

Bought some plunger thats like a bike pump, but it's not fixing anything. The water go's down after a few seconds but not quick enough.

If a plunger ain't working whats the best to buy to get rid of whatever's apparenlty in there???

u might have to take the toilet bowl out....something might have fallen in and a plugger won't work to get it out.

haha luckily there have been no big deuces in the toilet. So it's all clean water, or as clean as can be anyways.

No idea what coulda possibly fallen in...as the toilet isn't used as a bathroom for like shower or brushing teeth or anything, but the plunger definitely ain't fixing it.

There's the possibility a condom may have gotten flushed (not my doing), i know they shouldn't...but that'd be kinda strange to caused all this trouble.

I'm gonna grab an inspection mirror and see if there's anything seemingly jammed in that lil u portion of the pipe.....other than that....i've never taken a toilet apart so to speak, don't really want to. Doesn't sound like the most enjoyable of evenings.

But i'll let y'all know how it went.

When it comes to toilets, that's the ONE area I'm more than willing to pay someone else to clean up the mess I've made..

No pun intended

First try plunger.

Second try snake.

Third, the toilet comes off.

Fourth, maybe a power auger (power snake) if the problem is further down the plumbing

Preventative maintenance.....eat more fiber!
