Why does this video along with some others not play properly on my computer.

The begining when it says Metacafe works but then it's diaganal and wierd.
sound works fine.

you don't have the proper codec
you can try getting a program called g-spot it will tell you what its encoded with
you can also right click on the video when its playing then go to properties
and it will tell you codec
