Im buying my brother a computer for his grad, but I have no clue about computers...at all. not a thing besides how to use one (barely)

I have about a thousand bucks give or take 100 or 200 dollars.

It needs to be complete...monitor, keyboard mouse tower itself..dont need speakers.

You can get something fairly decent for $1G.. At least a complete celeron system.

Looking for a brand name system (like Dell, IBM etc?) or a clone?

Dereck: that system sounds good, where did you pick it up.

I was talking to my brother (knows a lot about computers compared to me) and he said celeron suck?

not if you look at it..it has no monitor, and a 40 gig HD it's gonna cost you to upgrade that stuff

My dad just built a 1.8 hgz athlon pc for $659. I'm on it right now. He bought all the parts either locally of from futureshop on sale and built it himself. Too bad I spent $1600 on my Compaq 2 yrs ago.
