I seem to get a different answer all over the place for this. for a while seemed to average at like $200 but now some people are giving me totally different answers.

So yeah just try'n to get an idea of what utilities could be worth on like an 1800sq ft place or around there.

 

Hydro - $15-$30/month
Phone - $23/month
Internet - $34/month

Total = ~$80/month

 

yea depends on how the place is heated, i have electric baseboards in my place its about 1400 ft^2, in the winter my hydro bill doubles from about 80-90$ to around 170$+, digital cable/internet is 120$ phone is 50-60 $, so yea the heat is where most of the money is at cause gas heating is a whole hell of a lot cheaper. oh and dont forget the massive deposite your going to have to give the hydro company/ gas company... my deposit was around 200$+

yea, i have to pay a huge deposit becasue london hydro was tired of getting stiffed by all the university kids.

 

3000sq ft home with high effiecency gas heating:
$85 gas
$65 hydro
(equal payment plan)

Now don't forget about:
Utillities: $150/3 months
This is for sewage, garbage, recycling, water

Property taxes: $1000/year

Those last two will vary depending on what city your in.

 

I dish out abut 300 a month. My house is old and insulated with saw dust and lord knows what else.
