I am in the stage of buying a new TV again. This time im looking for a big wide screen, somthing in the range of 60-inches. I like rear projection TV's. I dont like Plasma or LCD because of the response time and burn ins. I went to futureshop and there were 2 tv's that I was interested in, one was a 60" SONY SXRD and the 61" SAMSUNG DLP model# hlr 6168. Anyone know or have any useful info on these models? can anyone recommend any other good tv's worth looking at, I hear panasonics are good but didnt have the time to go check those out, and what should I be looking for when shopping for a TV?

come on guys There has to be some home theatre experts in this forum.

thanks
shawn

Suggest two home theater related forums:

1. http://www.avsforum.com * pretty technical

2. http://www.digitalhomecanada.com * Canadian based with lotsa FAQs

From what I have read Plasma is getting alot better with burn in as it doesn't do it as bad now or something, as for LCD well it just doesn't burn in.. leave them suckers on 24/7 and notta however u may get the dead pixel or 2...I've seen a few the dlp's there pretty nice but I myself have been leaning towards plasma now that there lil more cost efficent and seem to be getting alot sharper....
