i had problems with sp1 i havent gone to sp2 yet

I installed the SP2 on my crappy HP desktop. No problems to report really. Sometimes it pops up a warning about not haveing an Anti-virus program running, but a second later Nortons finishes loading and it goes away.

I do have a small problem with the security center. I have it checked as I monitor my own firewall AND I disable any warnings, yet everytime i boot up, it pops back up screaming at me about a firewall.. I have router, leave me alone SP2!!!

 

is there a way to get rid of the update if u dont want it?? [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] it wants to be installed onmine but now im stuck witht eh little update globe in the bottom of the screen, anyway to get rid of it without installing it?

 

I dotn see automatic updates in the control panel man

 

SP 2 won't work fer me. Spent 1 1/2 hr w/ tech on MS Chat only to be told my prob would be passed up to Level 2 . So I gets an email ' Install this line "sc enm 298*$&%^ nfhngfufugin windows billiegate$suks 8934 insert moneynow rippen.ppl.off.again.....ect ect " cept they FORGOT to mention WHERE I was susposed to insert the d*mn line . I use a 3rd party firewall and anti virus scanner plus 2 spyware programs w/ Active X controlers AND do most of my surfing w/ fire fox. So kiss my lily white a$$ bill g fer wp sp2. GRRRRRRRRRRRR

 

Our school informed us not to install it yet, cuz they havent configured everything to work right with it yet lol
