you know what I think? bring a baseball bat or gun with you and scare them to run away...don't get close to them. Or, just break their kneecaps...that could work

Thats soo harsh... Not only was the guy trying to steal his car, he had to stab him. What is this world coming to... Thats not even a proper form of theft... I bet if there were thefts that read that or herd about that, they would more then likely say amungs them self that, that is to far... Stealing something is 1 thing, but stabbing someone from trying to stop you from stealing your ****, thats bs.. No way in hell should that person live... Its not right.

Paint ball gun would be nice, just sit back so the can't see ya starting shootin at there sides/knees nothing facial incase you really hurt them but enough to realize someone see's them and makes them run... make them think twice next time or bring a shield lol.

Like Derek said, take notes, call cops, etc..

Or maybe, just start screaming at them from a far off distance, causing a scene. If a thief wont take off right when they notice attention is on them, it really isnt worth a confrontation, as obviously, getting what they want is more important than being seen doing so.

PS- if you have ever been in a fight with any sort of 'swinging' weapon, you should know that you get one swing, tops. If you get more than one, you are either in the movies or a very lucky exception You will NOT win a fight where you are outnumbered,with any weapon which you have to '****'except a gun...it isnt even a question, I'd never risk it, I can always find a way to get another car or stereo

Yeah, its not worth getting in their face. I would make sure you stay somewhere public, and maybe yell and make some comotion from a distance, just to try to scare them off. Definatly a job for the police, give them a call. You never know with these theives..

damn't i wrote a long response, but apparnelty it didn't come up.

I agree with most of what was said above...in that yes i want one of those two way alarm/starters more so for the reason of knowing whether your car acutally started, but i'd wouldn't mind knowing that someone is try'n to break into my car or not.

I think thats a rare incident and more than likely just a hardcore criminal who'll do whatever it takes. Most people i think will run away as soon as they know someone is aware of whats going on.

I use andre's electronics in Vernon BC, but thats mainly cause i know the guys and actually trust them to do the work, i'm not sure what they have or what their prices are currenlty.

But i am going back to vernon on tuesday, to find and buy a new vehicle and i'll likely get an alarm/starter pager combo installed by them if i have time, if you're near that area i'll let ya know on things
