This is why I hate Saskateuwan.. with pics
Here is the what happened (I'll explain before you see the pics.. it needs a new front nose clip) which is well over a grand..
Out in Sask.. my dad has a farm.. Its now harvest time so I went out there to the middle of nowhere (quite honestly.. you've probably never heard of any of the towns close by..) it was 36 degrees out there consisently... He needed some help getting the combine prepped for harvest (in a few weeks I'll be gone for about a month to help him out when the harvesting wil begin) out there: there are no gas tanks that are open on a weekend.. only on weekdays. you can expect very poor quality gas.. from stations that are open from 10:00am to about 5:30 or so. So it was Saturday (this Sat) when I was coming back.. and I only had about a 1/4 tank to get me about 2 hours away.. so I was driving around to every single little hick town looking for a gas bar open.. finally I thought I found one.. it was a Petro-Canada (I was amazed at my luck.. I was getting so desperate and a Petro-Canada is like a mirage in a desert) Well the entrance to the gas bar was a narrow passage.. with a DEEP ditch on either side. The drop off to the steep slope was very very hard to see.. I was not paying attention to it since here in Alberta: you generally dont have to worry about such a stupid thing. Not only that.. but that particular day it hit 37.4 degrees on the farm and I was beyond exhausted and absent-minded. (you would not believe how tiring it is to work outside in those temps for a whole day) We'll over I went.. into the ditch... and smacked hard againest one of those galvanized drain pipes that go under neath these "approaches" so there can be drainage from either side of the ditch in spite of the approach being there (you've seen those accordian like shiny pipes eh?). I whacked it doing about 15 kph.. the car shot up like it had a wicked set of hydralics... To make matters worse.. on that particular gas station.. even though it was a "pay at the pump" you needed this special "Braile" imprinted card.. much like one for a blind person.. but for the pump (I honestly dont know why.. but that pump would not let me pay by Visa alone).. the problem is.. is that the full service pump closed about 45 minutes before I got there... and you needed one of those "braile" cards to use the pump.... and one could only be obtained by a Petro-canada employee.. so that just fueled the frusterating and anger to a new level.
Feeling really desperate and exhausted I continued on with the needle getting closer and closer to empty.. Finally pulling over to a farm.. the farmer was kind enough to give me a 1/4 tank to get me to Swift Current. But thats the storey.... now for the bad part.. the pics are below..
This is how the car looked after a 7 hour drive to Hellsville.
It has more bugs on it then the whole 4100 three day trip to get the car from Atlanta. It was one miserable trip to and from Sask... God that trip sucked..
here is a close up before it was cleaned... I was debating leaving the car filthy since at least then you can't really see the damage
that'll suck about $1300 out of the good ole' paycheck
so much for my plans for a new stereo for a short while

OK, let me get this straight; You hate a province because as you say "I was not paying attention..........that particular day it hit 37.4 degrees on the farm and I was beyond exhausted and absent-minded."
Shouldn't the thread topic be "I was stupid guys, look what I did" or how about "I drove home exhausted and not paying attention and even though I was lucky not to kill anyone on the way look at what I did do."
Oh, and it's spelled "Saskatchewan" not "Saskateuwan" you little geography student you.

That sucks about your luck but correct me if I'm wrong, if your cars lowered you usually ALWAYS watch where your pulling into in fear of things like these happening at least thats how I would go about it and will when I lower my car... I wasn't aware that you drove such a nice lookin Mazda though
Oh yea and "Saskatchewan"
