Im getting winter tires put on my car tommorow, I only need 2 I have 2 unaroyal tigerpaw tires from last winter left. I was wondering if you guys think it would be worth it to stud the front 2, since the back 2 cant be because they have allready seen the road

 

It definately does help with traction, I have studed winter tires all around and sliding seems difficult, even when I try! Have fun sounding like a tank when you drive on dry road though!

 

Are studs not illegal in your neck of the woods ???

 

no theyre legal pretty much everywhere except ontario I think
I just got 2 installed no studs, to match the other 2 I had before.
They advised me against getting studs only on the front

 

putting studded tires on the front only is generally a bad idea because when turning the back end will swing around asuming its front wheel drive.

 

yeah thats why I kind of turned away with it, im gonna try studs when I need a full set of new winters

 

Studded tires are a no-no here in Alberta but they would be nice to have some days.

We definatly can use studded tires!
