Alright, whenever I purchase a dvd I always make a backup to it, incase I lend it to a friend and either forget they have it or they decide to fall off the face of the earth and not give it back, and of course incase it gets damaged I'll still have the good copy.

Bought The Grudge today, and I'm tryin to make a backup of it using DVD X COPY which has already successfully burned another dvd of mine, but with the grudge i run into a problem of it freezing when it's reading/preparing the disc. (No where near burning process).

So I thought alright maybe its nothin, tried DVD Shrink (Newest version) and it basically did the same thing, it froze about 1minute into the open disc process.

Has anyone already tried to make a backup of The Grudge or know of anyone who has if they were actually successful? Or know of a solution for my problem here?

Also can anyone send me a copy of DVD Decrypter or point me in the right direction of where I can obtain the software?

Thanks for the help, muchly appreciated.

If this thread is to become locked, could anyone who know's of a solution please PM me?

And this DVD was legitmately(sp) Purchased and the backup copy is legal. It only becomes illegal if I choose to sell it or give it to friends to keep inwhich I do not. I make backup copies to ensure I have one incase one gets damaged or lost.

Why the hell would you back up The Grudge that is gotta be one of the many dumb films lol, Anyway download dvd decrypter not hard to find on GOOGLE and if that doesn't work just copy the dvd contents direct to the hard drive then try dvdshrink from there.. Just click on Re-author goto the directory u have the movie in, copy the titel1 over and see what happens...

JRace that link didn't work for some reason, I'll try it again later though maybe its just the connection.

Anyone else?

And yes Doug I'm aware that the movie sucked but I collect DVD's and its a little late after I've already purchased it. Besides it'll be a good movie to creep some out with when I have get togethers and what not lol
