Well it looks like we (Fleury) gave the game to the Americans. They played okay in the third, but we totally outplayed them in the first 40. Oh well, they have never got Gold at the world Juniors, I just don't know if they deserve it on a winning goal like that.

 

The USA did play well throughout the tournement, but this was not anywhere near one of their best games.

 

Oh this also shows that if it weren't for us training the rest of the world in our Junior system, we could probably get away with 20-0 scores again.

 

Hi Im the Team Canada goaltener....i like long walks on the beach, hockey and bouncing the puck off my own player into the net behind me to give the usa the winning goal and the gold metal.

One more reason to dislike the french i guess.....

I don't blame it on Fleury, it was NOT his fault. Canada did play well but did not play good defensively and did not finish on scoring chances. They should have had the score at LEAST 5-1 at the end of the 2nd period. Next year now .. sigh.

 

Maybe if Canada had some Med. Hat Tigers in the lineup it would have been different.
