K just venting a bit here.
I am expecting a package, which is a birthday gift for someone.
APPARENTLY it has already been delivered, AND signed for.
What's the problem? It wasn't delivered to my house and I didn't ****ing sign it!
This is bull****, how do you deliver something to the wrong house AND get someone to sign it, who isn't even the right person? Don't they usually ask for ID or something?
Oh here's the best part, when I called they don't know where it was delivered! AWESOME!
I'm hoping it was delivered to my neighbour, but that doesn't make any sense because I was home at the time when it was supposed to be delivered...
WTF??
I'm just really mad right now

No they don't ask for ID as it should be the correct address and everyone knows it's a Federal offense to open someone elses mail. If you're at (what they think is) the right addy then they'll let anyone sign for it. I get eBay stuff delivered to the office all the time and if I'm out back or out at lunch anyone that's there signs for it for me.

It's not Canada Post's problem as they stated, it would be the person who wrote the address. They go by that address. Perhaps there's 2 of your addresses?

Most people complain that they wont leave it if someone else signs it, so they go with the its your responsibility.

I would check to see if someone perhaps has the same address for you just a different end of town or what not. Friend of mine had that happen to them all the time down the street and had a hot tub they ordered goto them instead lol They were nice enough to tell them they received the wrong order however.

Terry unless there are two houses with same number on the same street within the same postal code no address will be 'the same'

I had that happen with my Highway to Hell 8track I bought off eBay...The dude was so stupid he sent it to 2 other addy's before getting it right...Lucky for me both cases rejected...

One would think this however, Before we moved to our new townhouse. Our old address was 1311 CO RD D. E And we lived in a city called Vadnais Heights. There was another house in St. Paul with the same address and same street name. Zip codes were the same too. The only difference was the cities.

Now when I would have things shipped through UPS they would label my location as St. Paul, however if I had something shipped through Fed EX they would label my address as Vadnais Heights. So several times when I ordered things they ended up getting sent to that other 1311 address. Because I think some shipping companies have some addresses entered differently in their database. It's like I'd type in all my info on the UPS site and I'd try to enter my city. And it would say like "This address does not exsist, we found a similar address in this city"

I always hated when things would be shipped to me VIA Fed EX because I would never get them. Or I'd have to call around to ten different locations to find out where my stuff was and then have to go pick it up myself.

For one, if you go by postal code unless the name is right it could be any house on my street.

For two, the 2 houses that I spoke of it happening to were at opposite ends of the same street with the same last name(coincidently).

By the way its TERI, thanks.

Right...
Phone Canada Post and ask them they'll tell you the same thing I did. It's not their problem.

As well as what Aaron & Joe stated.
