Yankees out of the playoffs.....oh my!
everybody hates on the best teams.
not one person can say either texas or giants would even make the playoff this season but they did.
only reason texas is successful is cliff lee
but since hes going to ny next year, i'll still stick with my yankees

I don't hate 'em but I could live without the attitude......I guess when your payroll is $300M a year you're going to get some swollen egos along with the talent but they are over the top every year.....
They will be back next year no doubt........then again so will the Leafs.....

put the giants and phillys in the yankees division, and then let the yankees play this theres.... it wouldn't even be a fair contest
so ya, the yankees do have a huge payroll, and can afford all the best players, but they also play in the hardest division in baseball
K, you may have something with the divisional points.
but the payroll
I'm thinking of it like db dragging bro..
It's like one spl guy with a $1000 system beating another guy with a $6000 system in identical cars/class, and they're both supposed to be "Pros"
Hard to imagine that happening.

payroll is determined by the teams owner. talk to mr. rogers, and tell him to shell out more cash if you want the blue jays to make the playoffs.
biggest upset was the rays not making it past the first round.

I'm starting to wonder about this whole corporate mentality that has permeated pro sports.......too many big companies buying the teams and operating them like another division of the mother-corp......

They think of them only in terms of profit or loss and everyone loses......ah for the good old days when fat rich guys bought them for entertainment and tax write-off purposes.....

4 wins and 3 losses all in a row....the Leafs are back.....
