so a couple of my buddies talk me into taking my truck "down south" to do some deer hunting .......
they already got a couple in their regular area in prairie river
so now we got to hunt on the north side in the provincial forest so we're about 15km off the main highway on an old logging road in the middle of nowhere when the old road turns to floating muskeg ........
just as I'm noticing the wave ahead of us the truck breaks through the crust and down we go into the bottomless pit know as the bog.........
after 2 hours of digging, jacking and stuffing small logs under the truck, we're still stuck, it's getting late (3pm) so kelly heads off towards town to get help .......he walks 10km before a logging truck comes by and picks him up
so while we're waiting a cow moose and a calf walk by about 100 yards away ........of course moose is closed there (d**n moose always teasing us)
after a while I swear I'm starting to hear bajo's plucking in the woods (you know deliverence style)
about 7pm he show's up with help to pull us out .......I've never been so happy to see an old ford in my life
so we get out thank the guy and offer him whatever he wants for the help ......he say's no thanks I know who to call when up stuck up in flin flon .......awsome dude ......those saskatchewan boy's are the best ......
so heading back to the highway we see one doe ........kelly shoots and misses, it's getting dark so we pack up the hunting gear ........
we get to the highway and there's like 4-5 deer in every fricken field as we drive down the road but of course you can't hunt on the south side since it's a different zone and they already tagged out there..........
so we shouted obsenities at the deer an the way to tisdale to get some food.........
all in all it was a good trip ....mental note CTD's don't float & when your friends say he come it'll be fun don't listen
just thought I'd share

i think my best "stuck story" is....we were breaking trail to a lake in the spring in a dakota...got stuck, hitchhiked back to town to get another truck...got it stuck too, hitchhiked back to town again, for 1 more truck...damnit, go tit stuck too! hitchhiked back to town AGAIN, and got 5 people with trucks...ended up with 7 trucks stuck, trying to pull out the original one before the day was done, ended up to be a full on, 2 day, truck stucking fest... an OLD FORD you say did I hear that right??
bwa ha ha ha< full out belly laugh....
that little baby truck of your coulden't handle it huh.
mine would have with its whole 4" clearence..
sounds like a fun trip as long as your not the one owning the truck
