You take your vehicle in to the mechanic for what is supposed to take 3h labour. Half way thru they tell you that this tiny lil rubber piece (or whatever) is broken and that the only place they can get it is from a stealership @ $100/side and it's 1 day outta town.
Anyways, you work your way thru that, you get around using the parts from the stealership, and it still takes an extra day to get your vehicle back, only what shoulda been a 3h job is now a 6h job.
I didn't save up money for a 6h job

Funny the bit about missing that one peice... just braught my truck in to have hte breaks checked...
tuens out I have 500$ worth of stuff that needs fixing, AND they have to order a part straight from the dealer that they will only get tomorow hehe.
Oh well.

what did they need , new spring isolator rings ???, sway bar endlinks????
can't really think of anything rubber up front that should be that expensive

It's called a Bump Stop
It's just a rubber stop that prevents the axle from coming up into the jeep when the tire compresses. Imagine pushing your tire all the way up until it hit the top part of the wheel well. The Bumper is set to stop it before it hits that point.
I assume that they came off in two pieces lol but arg these lile ****sucker's are $60-$100 each

get them to show you where they are on the jeep .......... then tell me if you think it takes 1.5 hours per side to install them ...............

I don't know if you can pick it out in the picture, bu the bump stop is in the middle of the spring .............. I can see the flat rate book saying 3 hours to change em by themselves sinc you got to remove the springs to change em, but they'll already have the springs out for the spacers so IMO maybe 1 extra hour tops
