Guy's i just got my system installed . 2 MTX 9500's in a 36 hertz ported box and the subs are powered by a Hifonics BXI2600d amp . There currently running on 1 ohm about 2300 RMS is that good enough for those subs ? I also installed a a new battery one for the system and one for the car. The dealer at BMW told me they can do a upgrade to my car but still keep the stock alternator.

So is this system good enough guys , is it possible to compete in the future with a different car ?

 

I have one MTX 9500 12" and one seems good to me. 2 would probably be pretty darn loud

 

How much did you buy your sub for ?

Spl wise it hits pretty good. I had it in a 99 grand am powered by 1200 watts and hit 143 db. Now I have mine in my Jeep Grand Cherokee in a 2.5 cu ft ported box tuned to 30 hz and it hits remarkably hard low. I installed 4 9515s in a hatchback civic run off 4 MTX 81001 and it was pretty insanely loud. The box is the key with these subs, cause if you get it wrong, they are one note wonders.
