Question

It seems that no matter when you pick up the phone to call a friend or a company, you end up dealing with some sort of automated service. What do you think of having to push buttons? Do you feel that type of service is helpful or not?
Do you have such a service for your business ? If so, have you had any feedback about it, positive, negative?
I seem to recall a post where someone put on an old joke about some lady writing her financial institution about this issue.

I can live with it SOMETIMES..................I get pissed though when there is no option for a operator....................it's kinda like eBay, you can't just email someone...............

I dont mind hitting buttons... but the services where you have to say 'yes' or 'no' to questions are a total pain in the ***...

Iam also not a fan of talking to people who are of some other nationality and have a heavy accent I cant understand.... happens to me all the time....

How many of you mention your credit card info on a portable, or cellular phone, thinking no one is listening?
Ever wonder why credit card companies forgot about that minor security precaution when they prompt you to press your numbers as you use a cordless phone???

When you used to have to call Clifford Canada, the recording would come on......"Bonjour Clifford Canada.........................press 8 for english"

In a heavy french accent...................8 for English ???

LMAO.. yea Tim I hear ya...

heh, happened to me last night... I was the only one who could talk coherantly out of the 7others I live with (superbowl party).... so they got me to order pizza from pizza-pizza or little ceasers or something....

So I call some damn 1-800 # and get some middle eastern women who I cant understand and she sure cant understand me... WTF, I have to speak arabic to order pizza now !!

Then, even after you get off the phone with the person, you have to go through some automated BS to verify your order...
