Looking for replacement head unit, with the following specs:

- dual (or triple), high volt preouts (w non fader, preferably easy sub channel control)
- absolutely NO flashy graphics/stupid 'level indicators'/etc. Simple dot matrix display on black background preferred (ex: Clarion DXZ 725..simple: clock, track#, track time, goodbye message)
- CD/CD-R(W)/MP3
- 24 bit DAC
- single rotary ****
- all 'sound enhancements' must be defeatable (crossovers, eq's, sound settings, etc.) Basic bass, mid and treble will suffice nicely (Audiocontrol eq will probably be installed for front soundstage)
- time alignment-type features would be nice
- simple and uniform in colour (black preferred). I find less is more (shiny + glitzy = gaudy). I don't need too many frills.

I've been looking at older Eclipse models. They seem to be simple, reliable, popular and SQ oriented. Let me know what you have or what you recommend. I'm in Ottawa and my budget is $400 MAX (preferably less ofcourse). I have a Clarion DXZ 845MC (with box/all accesories, in good shape, etc.) to trade. PM me here. Cheers.
