DD Earbudd headphones

Picked up a set from Rob,

I had a set of the Sony EX300's and my wife bought a set of the bose earbuds for her mp3 player.

The sony's had the best reviews and sound pretty damn good, but they lack any detail in the low end. The Bose earbuds have the typical bose sound. While they do sound really clean it's like sitting in an anechoic chamber, they have no life to them and really can't reproduce below 50hz.

In come the DD's

First impressions was a freaky feeling hearing that much bass without any physical feeling to go with it. Kind of eerie but after getting over it and listening to a bunch of tracks and blocking off 3 holes wow. Clear details bass, very good sounding. I'd give it to the Sony's for detail and clarity but the DD's are still way up there in SQ and the bass response is awesome.

Just to warn you though it does take a little getting used to having that much bass with ZERO tactile feel along with it but once you get over it, they are solid! and cheaper than both of the other sets I have.

Where would I pick up a set any dealers on here for pricing?
Are these in ear monitors like the sony's I have been using this style for a while now and love the clarity they provide.

They are $100.00 + tax and shipping. I have two pairs that I have been holding for a member from the site but if no reply by tomorrow, they are up for grabs... wait a minute....looks at clock.... it is tomorrow.

Grado Labs, Inc.

Not ear buds but these have exceptional sound quality and are louder than anything, especially if fed by an amplifier which they sell also. I have the SR80s, they go from 20hz to 20khz and trust me you can feel that 20hz with EQ on windows media player, they don't distort at all. I threw them in my backpack day after day and a wire came loose so I soldered it. It's tough to take them apart (guide from google) but they're great I got mine bnib for $113 on ebay.

Tranducer type
dynamic
Operating principle open air
Frequency response 20-20
SPL 1mV 98
Normal impedance 32ohms
Driver matched db .1

And the mac daddy of headphones the PS1000 for $1700! Frequency response better than 8hz-35khz and drivers matched to 0.05db! "These sound so real you'll feel Bono's nose sweat drip onto your face."

My cack just moved.

I love my DD buDDs also, put in 9 hours at work with them on today. Sound great, nice low end, and comfortable (unlike most earbuds). You mentioned blocking holes, that is to tune them? What do you block them with, I have not played around with the tuning of mine at all......
