I came across a pair of alpine S12's with fried voice coils, does anyone know if it is possible to get a new voice coil for the subs.

if not i was thinking to attempt to make my own voice coil if anyone has any info that could help would be appreciated.

 

Alpine does not sell replacement coils like other companies do. If they are under warranty you can send them in for replacement perhaps?

Winding your own speaker coils, you're hardcore... Sounds like a fun project, would love to see pictures of the process.

 

ya i thought they didn't i guess i'll be attempting my own winding, i dont think i'll attemp DUAL i think i'll just make a single coil, my only concern is how they are winded and what gaueg wire to use.
