Box Thickness

Was just wonderin cuz i work at a big orange box store and get mdf for free.now they are cover sheets that protect doors and i am allowed to take them home on account they are garbage not they are usually 3/4 inch is that enuff for two 12's or should i buy 1inch also a buddy of mine just aqired a 15 and i am also wondering for his sub as well i am gonna run at least 800watts rms to the 12's

3/4 MDF is fine

Are you sure they are using mdf and its not actually particle board?.....big difference (IMO) but i cant see why they'd use mdf as a protective sheet when they could use particle board for about 1/10th the cost.....just make sure.

Ya im sure i know the difference i am not sure why the use it either im just glad they do

3/4 is fine for most any install. if the front baffle is really big, and alot of wood exposed with no bracing inside you may want to double baffle it so there are no vibes.
