i get a new Alpine HU and the IPOD cable

the cd quality is awesome so i know it's not my speaker/amps etc

but when using the ipod, 80% of the time there is cracking and just general crappy sounding music

on my computer these songs sound fine and when burnt onto CD;s they sound fine as well

so what's the deal with the ipod??

any way to improve this?

What model of Ipod is it? Mine is a Nano and it worked fine but my friend has a mini and it doesnt work right on the new Alpine decks.

 

I got a mini hooked up by Ice-link, no problems here.. Thats why I stay away from alpine never know what kind opf quality you'll get from them haha .. I'm kidding

My 40 Gig works very nicely with the Alpine deck.

I just ordered the CDA-9885 with the ipod cable. And I have an Ipod Mini that I wanna hook up to it. I hope it doesn't sound like pure

 

Oh what Alpine model do you have dude? I hope that I don't have the same problems as you seeing how how I am gonna hook up my ipod mini to it.
