Clarion VRX575usb+ iPod Cable and iPod Classics
I bought this unit from selective sound specifically because it had the ipod control. I was tired of playing with my ipod while driving. I didnt get the cable till about a week after I bought it (they were out of stock) but when I got it I immediately installed it. It hasnt worked right from day 1. First off the first time I plugged in my ipod it worked for all of 10 minutes, then froze on the ipod screen (my ipod didnt freeze, the HU did). I couldn't get it to unfreeze so I just left it, and about 2 hours later while I was driving home it started to work again....for 20 minutes. IT froze by the time I got home and stayed like that till about 20 minutes ago when I finally did what SS recommended me to do and disconnect the battery to reset it. It has been frozen since around the 15th (not sure on the exact date I got the cable in the mail) of February.
Disconnecting the battery did nothing, so I found the reset button on the deck. The ipod function on the deck is no longer frozen but it still doesn't ****ing work. I am so incredibly disappointed with this unit it hurts. The main reason I bought it doesn't work worth a . I basically spend over 600$ on a ****ing brick piece of . All I want to do is exchange it for something better but I guess thats out of the question because I purchased it over a month ago.
Does anyone have any last minute suggestions before I rip the thing out of the car and throw it on the curb.

ive never tried an ipod on mine but im also having trouble. my aux in doesnt work right and i have this screetching noise on the usb when i change songs... im gonna get some other brand soon good sounding deck but disapointed also
