need help plz.

I 'm in need of a little help with my big 3 up grade and my Alt upgrade too.

Do I eliminate the factory charge wire coming off the alt (4 guage) when I add the new 1/0 charge wire bet Alt to Batt ?

I replaced my 90 amp Alt with a 130 amp Alt, will I be blowing any of of my fusible links as a result of this upgrade ? if so which fusible link will be affected plz ? thanks. P.S. I have a 2005 Hyundai elantra.

Does your current charge cable go straight from the alt to the batt? If so, yes you can eliminate it if you want to.

For the fusible links - have the accessories the links protect changed and suddenly draw more power? No, so there is no reason to change them.

I tried following the factory charge wire from the alt, im not sure but it looks like it's connected to one side of a 120 amp fuse, the other side of this fuse goes via 4ga cable to pos + batt terminal. If I eliminate this factory cable, where does the power come from to power up all the other accessories in the fuse box in the eng bay ?

Doesn't it make sense then that you would follow the same cable routing with your new cable?

yes it would, but I replaced my stock 90amp alt with a 130amp alt and i'm concerned about blowing the factory 120amp fuse in the fuse box in the eng bay,i also have the new 1/0 charge wire (alt-batt ) fused 12" from the batt with a 130 amp ANL fuse. thanks.
