I just recently purchased Alpine's IVA-W205 head unit,purchased xm direct xmd1000c with a xmdalp100.put switch on ai/net and reset system,attempt to switch source but it doesn't indicate sat radio is hooked up.Can it be a bad tuner or adapter or both?

 

um have you subscribed to the service yet ??? this unit doesnt need a box but you will haveto run the antenna to your roof before it works

 

I did actually acivate my subscription when i cancelled my roady 2 which i had for 2 years already.my problem is that alpine head unit is not recognizing ai-net connection/but thanks

 

scott, I called the calgary store back last night, both the units they have are open.

I'll contact the distributer and see if they can still get them.
