Bass ports where to position and how many?

hi ihave my sub box designed but i am now debating on where to put the bass ports the subs manual calls for one 4" by 10 3/4 long port but if i used two 2" by 5.345 inches long would it be any different or better... what about if i just use one 3 inch or one 2.5" port what is my best option P.S my box is 2.045 cubic feet and the sub calls for 35 hertz tuning frequency. i am attaching along a pic of my box design.

Ideally you should not be able to see the driver when looking down the port(s).
