Anyone setop there Ipad as Navigation /entertainment?

Hey Folks,
I purchased the 2015 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double cab and it came with the Basic Entune radio with SR and HD radio and bluetooth (think they call it Audio Plus) Believe it or not it sounds pretty good . I opted out for getting the tundra with Limited edition to much for the extras in my eye's . The biggest thing I wanted was the Navigation. Now one of the big expenses I noticed with a factory DPS is after four years sometimes they stop supporting the GPS system (no map updates or firmware updates) . SO I did some searching and found people useing there Ipad 3 that had 3g(at the time) with all kinds of different app's (TomTom,Garmin,Megellan) and a few more I believe the Ipad's with 3G had GPS chip Well I did not have a Ipad with 3 or 4 G but I had a Ipad2 with wifi (found out wifi alone will not work well at all).
so I searched some more and found a bluetooth GPS reciever the Dual Electronics XGPS150A Universal Bluetooth GPS Receiver . SO I bought it for 85 bucks and the APP (TomTom USA)for $49 with free map upgrades. I tethered the Ipad to my Iphone 6 for internet and fired it up paired in like a few seconds started up the GPS systems tracker (tracks satilites) and pulled up 24 satellites over head. So I bought also a Cup holder mount for the Ipad and a USB hub charger now I have a 11 inch wide Multimedia Navigation /entertainment system that all connects bluetooth to car stereo oh and I also can connect the Ipad as audio bluetooth and the Phone as the Phone part of bluetooth so I can answer phone call while getting turn by turn voice dirctions.
Now just to make it better I tryed my Ipad Air with Hey siri and man I can just about have it drive the truck (not really) but I am wondering HMMMM. In all I spent $185 on a 11 inch GPS that I can tune in any direction to veiw get voice tunr by turn over the Stereo . Saved about $3500 if Iopted for the Premium entune package .(PS>>>The Dual Electronics XGPS150A Universal Bluetooth GPS Receiver worked well with my Ipad 2 noting I did have all the IOS updates and defaulted it to factory settings with just Chrome ,TomTom,and a few other app's I also noticed the olny apps that trully work with the GPS are on the Duel Electronics web site and most that do work you have to pay for AND/OR Live outside the US *can no purchase in US Apple store* If interested in the Dual Electronics XGPS150A Universal Bluetooth GPS Receiver do some research on it it works with Android phones and tablets as well as windows based products)
