2007 Summary

2007 SPL Season Wrap up, overview, summary, blah blah blah…

It was great as a promoter and competitor to host and compete at shows with great attendance and display this year. There were some great numbers this year by many and many couldn’t complain about not having any competition in their class unlike previous years. I am proud of the Eastern Canadian competitors and hope to see great achievement at World Finals. For those who don’t attend Finals, I hope to see all of your support again in the 2008 season.

Promoters/Judges; Hats Off… Richard, Chris, Mel, Yuli, Jay, Nick, Marc, Wayne, Jordy, etc… Babysitting…oops… I mean promoting, producing and judging ain’t easy! I hope that you were all happy and successful with your events to bring more next year. This hobby would not have been as successful this year without all of the hard work that each and all of you put into it. Thank You Sincerely.

Competitors; I would list them all off but way too many to list. You know who you are, you attended a show and competed. I don’t care what organizations that you support and which ones you don’t, as long as you are having fun and enjoying what this hobby offers.
Just remember, we as competitors need to support the shows or there will be no shows without support. Thank You for supporting all of the promoters and organizations this season and I hope to see you all in the lanes next season.

Summary,

I just want to get this straight as I have seen evidence to back it up.

Being cocky and arrogant gets you no respect unless you can break a 180.
Cat Hair makes you loud.
Purses and hand braces go well together.
The devils name has changed from Satan to Rick.
Jay Jones doesn’t hit higher than a 129.9 (Legend)
Many competitors like Double D Woofers
Shoot your mouth- banned from CCA. Throw a punch – banned from dB Drag.
SPL Live? What is it? Promoter, competitor, team and an upcoming reality tv show.
Models drive Accents and Yaris’s.
Ummm … Fusion doesn’t suck.
Voltage is important…one copper strip ground and 8 runs of power don’t work.
Orange trucks are sexy.
Rabbits are Loud.
Watch out for extension cords when driving to the lanes.
If you call someone out…they might just come out.
Why go to a hospital if you are dying, go to a comp instead.
Girls can be loud too.
Yuli sucks.
Yuli is Gay.
Yuli starts crap.

Thanks again Everyone! Keep SPL aLive!
