3x DB Drag, 2x IASCA and 3x MECA Shows June 26-27 in Milton, Ontario
Lee, with the numbers you're hitting, you'd be very competitive in the IdBL Advanced classes. You did very well last year at the show in Renfrew, if I remember correctly you finished first.
And Tinted, if I remember your Jeep, you'd be in the Stock 3 class... hittin' 150's will easily put you in the top 3 at any IdBL event!
And don't forget, it's not the dB Drag software with the pressure sensors, with the AudioControl meter it's still the old style mike (for now...).

That would put you in Stock 3 class Yuli, unless your box is more than 25 inches tall or is not in the factory cargo area of the vehicle. If it is, then you'd be in Advanced 3 class.
The 25 inch rule is similar to the "glass line" rule that dB Drag has, except IdBL realizes that not all "glass lines" or vehicle belt lines, where the body meets the glass (at the bottom of the glass), are the same. So, instead of using that as the criteria for whether a vehicle is in Street or Super Street, IASCA allows a maximum 25 inch box height from the floor of the cargo area to the top of the box.
The cargo area rule is similar to the "B pillar" rule of dB Drag. For Stock classes, the box has to be in the OEM cargo area of the vehicle. If it extends out of the OEM cargo area, then the vehicle will be in Advanced class.
I hope this helps you out; if you have any other questions I'd be more than happy to answer them!

How do you mean Concept? What kind of loophole are you referring to?
The rule reads: "The subwoofer enclosure must be in the OEM cargo area and cannot exceed 25 inches in height from the floor of the OEM cargo area to the top of the enclosure."
This is for all vehicles. In the case of cars where the spare tire is mounted in the trunk, the measurement is taken from the loading floor area, not from the bottom of the spare tire well, as most vehicles have a "cover" that flattens out the trunk floor all the way across.
If I'm missing something, please let me know, your input is very important. Now that I'm in charge of rules and revisions for IdBL, my goal is to make sure that all the rules are as clear and concise as possible, so that there aren't any "loopholes" or different interpretations of the rule(s).
I revised the rules for 2004 and that was one of the inconsistencies that I found... does the height restriction include feet mounted to the box and so on... well, now it does. If an enclosure is 26 inches tall with one inch legs supporting it, then it's too tall and the vehicle gets moved into the Advanced class, as an example.
I hope this helps. If you have any input, I'd love to hear it, email me at moesab@iasca.com .

I must have my seats out to run my passengers side sub. There is no track to Adjust the seat position on the passengers side of the caravans(1990). The surround of my sub rests against the back of the seat. Do I have to go into Ultimate class if the seats are removed?
