man when it rains it pours.... first the alternater went on the spl civic and couldnt make some shows, then the rad blows last week and stops me dead in my tracks.. then i need new tires on the black civic last sat. with balance and rotation was stupid $$ now i leave the rink in abby with the black civic and i have no alt.... so i limp my car to chilliwack by back roads and my new exile battery is just smoken under the hood.... another fuc#$ 500 bill for maintence.... holy crap that alt. aint that old... i sure hope robert will fix it under warranty............................ welll see... this car has 225000km on it and thats the 3rd alt... wtf??? two stock and one from team shadow..........

 

welcome to life.............you obviously have been having EXTEMELY good luck upto just recently, therefore, it all balances out.....


lesse here, blew 2 subs and fried 2 amps 2 days before calgary in june($800+)....still made it and competed........this most recent trip to calgary, seized an alt, burned off a belt, busted a windshield, blew the flex pipe....($600+), and still competed.....it's bound to happen eventually...

riprock burned up $6500 on a motor on the way to castlegar.....still made it and competed......A-Team lost a motor on the way to the same event...still made it and competed.....


just have to prepare for things to happen.....otherwise you end up like carl, with $40 in your pocket, broken down on the side of the road, on the way to kamloops, with a blown fuel pump....

 

oh, I forgot to add, i hope your bad luck is over now....

where did carl get $40 bucks from? lol! and ya i have been very lucky over the past 5 yr.... all i really have had go wrong are 17 blown tires , and 3 burnt out alt. . so not to bad.....

haha that was going to the georges show to start off the 06 season at the end of april and best part about it was he didnt even fry his fuel pump. He just ran so low on gas that when he was going up or down one of the big hills the car died. Put more gas in and it was fine I think.

But on the note of team shadow alts I wasnt too impressed with mine either to be honest. Really wasnt anything too special for the money I paid and after all that cost I was charged for an additional wiring harness and tax on top which was another $100. Kinda ridiculous. I bought a 300 amp alt with adjustable external regulator from excessive amperage for $30-40 more shipped which actually did 300 amps not the negligable 200 amps that the team shadow alt did.
