Actually I said might be a show, so its not set in stone so no need to post it. You need to learn to read. So continue to edit away and constructive discussions about shows. It only hurts this site and thats sad since we do enjoy having it believe it or not. Discussions about shows should not be touched.
Is this a a car audio promotion forum or a car audio for profit forum? I expect this to be edited, deleted or me banned for speaking what everyone is thinking. I will take your actions good or bad as my answer.

Considering your past actions on this board regarding shows, you should be smarter about what you post.
Your teaser of course was for a show that you would be promoting I expect. It is obvious that you believe the purpose of this forum is promote yourself... for free no less.. Of course, this is because you do your shows at no charge right?
Your such a humanitarian Don.So then, what was the purpose of your post then if to not advertise a show? Troll for interest? Remind people you're still around? Come on, I'm curious...

Actually I was being as polite as I could but some things are just stupid like editing talk about show discussions and other stuff where you think someone "might" make a dollar. You know what, not everyone has the intent to sell anything by holding shows.
I have been here all along and see the steady decline of our hobby. I am doing my best with my small part to keep it alive for those who care and for those who want to join.
Ask anyone who I help with a show and ask them if they were happy with my help? You quickly find your statement null and void.
And why would I want to promote myself lol thats got to be the stupidest thing I have read in awhile. I don't sell product, I don't manufacture, I don't retail, I just hold shows for the competitors and dealers if they ask me too. To this date I have spend approx $2500 getting my shows better with sound, tent etc..... Am I regreting this? Nope, I love doing it and will continue to hold shows because believe it or not I am a nice person. If you want to know anything else please ask.
I have no idea who you are personally but from what I see on this forum your kinda an *** by throwing your moderation weight around. I think your the one who needs the promoting.
You have been around along time also but have not done to much to help the industry and until you do then we can talk.
Your welcome to discuss this further with me at a show over a beer but I doubt it. Hit up some shows you will find alot of "Humanitarians"
Next time someone is putting word out about a possible show to see if anyones interested, don't touch it and you won't look like you do now. I still respect you but your trying awful hard to change my mind.

This is a general statement but you can pay special attention if you like.
In life there are rules. There are people who follow rules, people who choose to not follow rules, and people who enforce rules. In this space, I am tasked with enforcing the rules. I do not get personal about the rules, I just enforce them. Follow the rules and there is no need for moderation. Choose to not follow the rules and there will be moderation.
If your post is moderated it is because you chose to not follow the rules. Don't put it on me or any other moderator. We are a reaction to an action.
Is this easy enough to understand?
Now, question WHY I enforce the rules or call me a dink because of it and then we get into opinion and opinions are personal. In this space, that road will inevitably favour my opinion and not yours.
And now on to Don's special part of this post:
You see Don, this may be an eye opener but regardless of your overblown self-serving signature, I don't care who you are, or who you believe you are. You are no more or less a member here than "Welcome to our newest member, 8v-of-fury". You don't post anything constructive other than to talk about your shows. You don't offer advice to people or do anything else to help or advance the community here. I wanted to be sure of this statement so I checked out your recent and semi-recent threads and posts. Perhaps I missed something but I got bored before I found anything. You take information from this board and you use it's population to further your own gains and you do it for free. And really, as long as you do that within the confines of the rules, I don't care. So just follow the rules.
Finally, don't question what I do for this industry.

Hey, calm down you two. There's a calendar. I've learned to use it. It's not that hard.
There are other sites out there that don't have rules that are this strict, yet we all come back to this one. I'm just going to follow the rules so that as many people as possible learn what's going on.
It's kinda like parts of the Canadian government that are ******, thieves, liars that make unreal and unfair rules, but we all still live here. As Canadians, we're usually ok with being oppressed. We can put up with their ****, why can't we put up with CCA rules. Get over it and move on.

I will post shows on the calender when they are set. I help more people than you will ever know, you need to leave the confines of this forum to see this. And yes I do question what you do for the industry.
This is my last post on the subject. I will respect the rules and if the site wants a show posting before the show discussion happens then its ok with me.

Once again, I don't need to justify myself to anyone. The volunteer hours I put in here actually offering advice to people and moderating valuable members like you is plenty, let alone what I do in the "real world". Based on what I see you doing for the industry for free on here, I'm ok with my own efforts.

well i do not post much on forums but i feel it is important to the car audio world on our side of the country to gain as much info as far as shows go as possible... i can count on one hand the # of shows held in AB and Sask and MB in the last 3 years almost. It is terrible. and if there cannot be talk of shows with out a listing or someone promoting them it will die. BC has alot more shows than we do but there is alot more peeps involved there than there is in the prairies. I too have been asking and trying to get dealers all over teh province to host but no one wants to any more because it is always the same turn out , same winners and who is new gets owned. I remeber 3 yrs ago we had 4 shows a year and was good. 25 to 30 competitiors and by the end of second year there was only 6. not because of getting owned but because the loss of interest. threre was alot of money given away fro prizes and lots of extra things to be involved in other than jsut fart contests,. So I dont really know aht needs to happen any more but atleast if there is interest in a show going to happen somewheres with some notice other than a week or so because of radio comercials and etc. I think would be a great help. i know what does and what he is doing to bring back car audio and i believe it is an excellent idea, maybe you guys in the east and west take forgranted the amounts of peeps that show up but I see yuli sniffing around to get more new competitors out so it cant be all that good.
All I know is we need discussion as much as posible . and if a show has to be scheduled before even talked about then i doubt the show will ever happen.
