warrenties shouldn't be given if they're not meant to be abused!

those companies make enough money that repairing a "well used" product of thiers should be the least of their worries. they should be proud that thier product was used in such a manner. it says the customer is loyal enough to spend thier money in hopes that the company will provide a high performance product that will win competitions.

no offence to anyone who works for these unnamed companies, but it's all the dedicated db draggers who provide you with not only the business but also the free advertisement by winning comp.'s with your gear!

i'm with you on this one rick.

Thanks. I realize it is wrong to intentionally blow them, but I also didn't see much harm in finishing them off when they were already damaged...Glad my camera didn't show up until this morning I guess. I sent them in as they were, no wall socketage...

Had a guy bring me a Concept sub that was seized a couple of months back. In a sealed box as well. A really top notch sealed box (haha Dukk). I asked him how it seized and he told me it just dies on him in his truck. Now I know this customer and how he uses his equipment and I just knew that this did not happen in his truck. So I ask him if he plugged it into a wall, he says no. I said to him, so if I pull this sub out and a whole pile of smoke comes out, will you stick to your story? Pull the sub out and more smoke than sub comes out. Look at the spider and it is nice and black, the comment made was "care to change your story", the reply was we plugged it into the wall at school. End result, abuse and no warranty.

Why do people think that manufacture build product for competition use??

Like DWVW said, you are a drop in the bucket maybe 1% of sales.

Actually you can tell many thinks by the colouration of the voice coil. Yes sometimes it is difficult to determine the exact cause, but it is easy to tell if is abuse or normal use.
