all brand new batteries..lots of 0/1 gage and a Deer John battery charger
the Crown amp draws as much or more current than any of the other
amps I have played with
there are a few downsides to this amp though.....
it's HUGE...almost shaped like a spare tire and it's 80 pounds

and from what I have found out from personal experience they do break down
and most techs are scared to work on it...LOL
I guess it's one of the only A3000gti's in Canada because Ericsons had absolutley
no information on it at all....they only have the repair manual for the A6000
my tech had to go right to Crown to get the scematics for the power supply board

the A3000 is bassically a Crown Ballanced Current Servo amplifier put in a fancy
case and given a 12 volt power supply..........

ill have 16-20 16 volt batts and planning on probably upgrading to either 4 or 6 12k amps. So thats 48-72kilowatts total. Will be running to 12 18s in 70 cubes

160@ 30 hz has already been done but ur right its definitely not factory interior. IMO to build a loud bassracer you have to really reinforce the interior or the vehicle wont even last thru a whole season. My roof is built down just over 2" total, then my floors are over 1" thick of resin at the thinnest spot...my firewall, and doors are heavily reinforced with steel, wood and resin aswell. Im just hoping my enclosure design doesnt load too much in the center of the windshield or the windshield will blow well before I can get thru a full power bassrace run.

im pretty sure its right at 30 hz actually. And thats just a stock interior'd explorer let alone one with reinforcements. Im sure the cab will be torn apart before long and the vehicle will either need a complete re-build of the cab, windhshield, doors, floors, steering, firewall etc...or itll be screwed beyond rebuilding.
Still nice numbers though.

Im just building mine slowly and methodically in order to make sure its the strongest built cabin for a bass racer out there. I know Clays is pretty damn tough but Im going on step farther.

Build the vehicle first as beefy as you possibly can...then throw the gear in.

I thought it was against regulation to build down the ceiling and build up
the floor....I was under the impression 2 layers of sound deanening was the limit

that would be for street and super street classes. 4mm and 2 layers max

Bass Race you actually can run a 100% extreme vehicle (and a couple Europeans are doing exactly that).

Bass Race rules should change to something like the old rules for extreme (2 people seated on front seats) but with original glass windshield.
