Hey guys! Little newbie here

I was wondering where it's possible to buy car tweeters in the region of Ottawa? My lancer is already pre-wired for tweeters on the top of the door/window panel, just need to find tweeters that fits and need to know where to buy them.

If I look at the casing that I removed (it can be put back on), the speaker hole is about 2" in diameter. What are my options?

this will probably be some sort of custom install...at least to glue or somehow put the tweeters in.. show some pics and I am sure someone here can help you.. If you are wooried about original look if you resell the car you can either buy replacement *casing* or fabricate something custom.

If you look in the classified you can probbly find some tweeters here.

 

For something that simple I'd just go to Futureshop or Best buy... if you want a custom shop though the only one around here I'd suggest is Shamus Customs and they're out between Greely/Metcalfe.

 

More importently, did your stock ones die or do you simply want to add tweeters because "you can" type deal?

 

Well the car comes equipped with the 4 speakers (front and rear) , front speakers without the composite tweeters that would be available for the front pair.

I actually ordered the stock ones that come with the higher models since the wiring is all done and everything, and I'll keep a nice look even though they are not the best quality.
