I'm not trying to be a dick or start a fight or anything. But whatever happened to cspl being a amateur league? Its still fun to run and beat my own best scores and I still plan on going to the local events. But all the top guys in cspl are the top guys in Dbdrag too. I realize they are the loudest because they got the time, skill and money invested into their systems to get really loud, but what happened to gearing it towards the amateurs. The kids who buy their gear off the local shops in prefab boxes etc..and want to gain some bragging rights? I just dont see how its fun anymore getting spanked by guys who do 150s with their big amps then hook up a smaller amp in their pro install and run with the amateurs. Just a rant i suppose and im not being a baby because im not loud.

If you were to judge the event how would you make it more amateur.

"Even though you've made it as easy as possible to win I STILL think there's too much work involved. Please make a class where I can compete with minimal effort/investment and still win."
At the end of the day this is still a competition, which means there will be some investment of time and money required if you want to win.
From the sounds of it you don't want to do either of them.

Blue collar and other concerned cometitors.
If you want me to offer a Beginner class what would the rules be. I am all for offering everyone a fair playing field to compete in. I tried to offer a 1000 watt and under class and a small woofer class and I would get one person in the class. A "beginner" would show up with a small sub but an overated Pyle, MA, Sony amp. I have also offered a 2-15 class or a wall class for so called beginners and I get one person in the class. How does that make it a competition. At every show there is atleast one person that gets the bug and tries to be competitve by buying a new amp or box our like Jones said work with other competitors to ge louder.
If I can make the shows more enjoyable for everyone please let me know.

take a look at me, first year competing.. feb. was my first show, i hit a 132.1
BUT, i connected with some key people who have taken my under their wing and are slowly but surely getting me louder, i'm now around the 140 area and only moving up.
I haven't won yet, but i still come out and give 'er
however, i did like the "n00b" class at that one show, first year peeps only

CSPL is a comp league if your getting upset that it's the same guys getting the top 3 don't talk smack do somthing I started trying spl in 2003 with my every day driveing system hit 124.5 2004 hook up with Peter AKA MTA redid the whole system started at 136.7 spent the season geting 4ths to 2nds places but worked my a$$ off testing and biulding by the end of the season was breaking 150's you can't expect to show up and get a win you have to work for it. Richard made the rules for his leuge the guys are competeing with in them.

See that is what I like to hear.
If I had a noob class anyone that didn't win would probably complain because there wasn't a noob noob class.
