Sorry to jump in on the conversation,
But don't forget to bring out those SQ cars to Creston on May 17/09. This is our annual Blossom Festival weekend, and there is alot happening. Saturday is usually a demo derby and Sunday is always a car show. If you like cars it is the show to be at. Last year we ran SQ, db drags and bass race (we'll do the same this year). It is a long weekend so there is no excuse about time, although I do understand the economics. If we get enough people though we'll make it double points.
I only have something ready for SB A and hoping to have my 1996 ford aerostar out this year for extreme class-really ugly and built on a shoe string budget (only 1240watts with 9 subs and 3 amps 148db want to be over 150 this year).
Just out to have fun.
Bill

Last year I had a couple of guys who were pissy because they got put in a class that they felt was out of their league (including myself). People coming out to Creston will be put in their appropriate class, although if you've done competitions before there is no rule bending. I was the only wall in Cranbrook last year, and because I changed my door panels, I was placed in a class with a 150+ hummer, needless to say I went away humbled (pays to know the rules), still had a great time.

Yes, it is true....
A Dealer for Soundstream, Clarion, and Kaption The best of all worlds....SQ - SPL and everything in between (my little plug).
We will be on the corner of Pine and NW Blvd. (next to NAPA) as of April 1/09. We are currently on Hwy.21 toward the border.
Stop in we need more traffic from Cranbrook, coffee is always free. There is some cool stuff happening in this little town since we started in October 07'....

If your a rookie (1st year of competing) we will give some grace. Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary, standard rules apply check Termpro, db drag racing, spl meter, spl car audio, loudspeaker systems, wayne harris all the rules are listed. What always seems to happen, is a guy shows up with 2 12" subs in a hatch thinking he should be in StreetBeat A or B, but the box is so big that it covers the entire back windows and now gets bumped into another catagory. Just follow the rules and understand your box size limits and power requirements in the catagory you want to compete in. If you are in the SQ competition, this gets a bit confusing??? I am going to handle this with two catagories:
1 Tuner Class- this is cars, trucks, 4X4s, 19??-2009 that someone has put a equal amount of time into the install / performance / Sound / appearance. This is not really based on SQ. This is a 15$ entry fee and the vehicle becomes a car show piece.
2 SQ -It matters very little what the vehicles look like, they must sound good!!! period. Soundstaging is everything.... How does the thing Sound do you here cymbols, horns, double bass kicks etc.
The main thing is to come out and have fun.

PS -Marty or James will be hosting -so I take no responsibility on the catagory you'll run in. The loudest car at our show last year was team absolute with 151??? in their Neon.

that was me

but I think we were only 146 something at that show......

We will be there again this year if all goes well. it was a fun day and actually turned out to be a decent sized, and fun show, considering the weather, and location issues....
